The word nostalgia means Golden Girls for me.  Whether it was watching the show in real-time with my Grandma at her home in Lincoln, NE or watching reruns after school while doing chores or even currently late night viewing helping me laugh as I go to sleep, the Golden Girls was a trailblazer in the history of television.  They told us, the viewer the life does not end after 50 and that if older folks can work through life’s trials and tribulations, so can we.  And needless to say the comedy was (pardon the pun) golden.
