The Forever Greatness of The Great Gatsby

My love of literature and the pursuance of striving for the best in life yet simultaneously knowing that pursuance could lead to my demise, is something that will always be stitched to me via the words of F. Scott Fitzgerald in The Great Gatsby.   Fitzgerald’s beautiful language is a lens of focus that reveals not only the wealth and lavishness of the 1920’s in conjunction with the joy of grandiosity but the inner torment and struggle of someone not of traditional status.  This is playing itself out right now in our culture in direct reflection.  Be on the look out for who may be staring at you in the mirror.  Is it you looking back at you or a mirrored distortion of who you are meant to be?  May you ever search for the green light across the bay and may every novel display the visual purity of The Great Gatsby‘s last pages.  Read a few pages over the weekend and transport back to a more decadent time.
